CATALYST x Connexcel Programme: The Second Edition

We're pleased to announce the continuation of the partnership between CATALYST by Winchester College and Connexcel. This online programme, now in its second edition, offers a comprehensive exploration into the intricate relationship between technology, innovation, and societal progression.


Programme Details:

Spanning two immersive weekends (2nd-4th and 25-26th November), students will also benefit from personalised one-to-one coaching sessions in the interim, ensuring a rich, customised learning experience.

The Syllabus

The programme offers students an opportunity to look at significant technological milestones. Starting with the impact of the printing press, it delves into the role of batteries and personal computers, culminating in a discussion on the present and future implications of Artificial Intelligence.

  • Historical Evolution: A deep dive into transformative innovations and their ripple effect through societal evolution.

  • Technological Today: A pulse check on modern-day tech breakthroughs and a peek into what the future might hold.

  • AI Spotlight: A multifaceted view of AI, covering its potential, challenges, and the ethical considerations at its intersection with society.

  • Guiding Frameworks: A study of strategies and ethical compasses that can guide AI's seamless integration with our daily lives.

Change Projects: Theory in Action‍

A standout feature, the Change Projects, lets students roll up their sleeves and put theory to work. Taking cues from past initiatives, they will address diverse challenges, from preserving cultural legacies to pioneering tech innovations and community betterment schemes.

CATALYST Transcript: A Comprehensive Feedback Mechanism

As the programme culminates, participants will be handed the CATALYST Transcript.
